In 1953 Today’s Home started with a vision
to enrich the lives of area families by bringing
true quality home furnishings to Western Pennsylvania.
Founded in 1953 by Sigmund and Audrey Lenchner,
both Taylor Alderdice graduates, Today’s Home
has emerged as a true “family business”
success story.
Now led by a second generation, Jeff Lenchner became
CEO in 1992 and has managed to grow the company
in an age dominated by big box retailing and mega
chains. Today’s Home has now grown to over
100 employees and 3 companies including Designer
Furniture Outlet stores and Accessory Express.
Due to the foresight of the founders, store
locations, mission statement, reputation and
employees, Today’s Home continues to strive
for excellence!
