About Chelsea House
Chelsea House is a family-owned company that believes hospitality is still important, true beauty transcends time, that nothing takes the place of hand-craftsmanship and that business is still the best among friends.
History
Alvin Cain founded Chelsea House in 1973 because of his desire to bring the finest reproductions of historical art. Although the company focused on the art when it was founded, it quickly expanded into other categories when customers wanted the same level of sophistication in other areas of their homes.
Today, Chelsea House has grown and encompasses a wide variety of product categories, but it remains a family-owned company. Alvin's son, Bill Cain, serves as President. Alvin and Bill still select each product through their worldwide travels and unparalleled access to some of the most treasured antiques, museum archives and private collections.
