moreThis perfectly scaled table was inspired by a 120 year old British Colonial writing table that can be found in antique galleries in Bombay, India. The dramatic scale of the table is enhanced by three antiqued leather inserts and two large drawers with hand forged iron pulls. British Colonial furniture evolved as did the British Empire in the 18th century, from the late 1600's when British explorers first sought commerce in Indonesia, to the iconic British social clubs of India to the majestic Colonial plantations of the Caribbean.
